Workshop Description

Play, Presence, and Parts: Using IFS with Children & Adolescents -

A 2-Day Experiential Workshop, May 1 & 2, 2026 with Senior Lead IFS Trainer, Pamela Krause, LCSW.

This 2-Day Experiential workshop is all about working with Children and Adolescents through an IFS Lens.

The workshop is designed for IFS Level 1 Trained therapists, and practitioners, who wish to deepen their understanding of how Internal Family Systems (IFS) can be applied when working with children and adolescents.

Children and young people often express their inner worlds differently from adults — through behaviour, play, withdrawal, resistance, or emotional reactivity.

This workshop offers a grounded and compassionate framework for meeting them where they are, while remaining firmly rooted in the core principles of the IFS model.

Participants will explore how to adapt both In-Sight and Direct Access approaches for younger populations, while strengthening their embodied sense of Self to support safety, attunement, and clarity in therapeutic work.

The workshop weaves together didactic teaching, experiential learning, guided reflection, meditations, and large and small-group exploration to support both conceptual understanding and practical application.

Who This Workshop Is For:

This workshop is designed for:

  • IFS Level 1 Trained Therapists and Practitioners who currently work with, or hope to work with children and adolescents.

  • Because the work includes deep internal and experiential processes, prior formal IFS training is essential.

This IFS workshop is pending approval for 12 IFS-CE credits, which may be applied toward IFS certification or recertification
