Workshop Description
This comprehensive, interactive workshop offers a framework grounded in IFS, trauma-informed care, somatic therapy, attachment theory, and relational neuroscience.
Clinicians will learn structured, phase-based interventions from acute discovery through relational repair. Instruction emphasizes how relational trauma affects the body, parts, attachment, and neurobiology.
Participants will co-regulate with colleagues, apply embodied safety interventions, recognize their own internal parts’ activations, and practice high-level clinical skills through case consultation and role-playing.
We offer this program because betrayal trauma is a unique and complex phenomenon. Most general trauma training does not address the subtle layers of gaslighting, secret keeping, emotional immaturity, developmental trauma, and wounding involved in infidelity. This workshop equips clinicians with the capacity, clarity, and clinical frameworks to offer trauma-informed, parts-based work to both individuals and couples navigating relational rupture.

Learning Objectives....
By the end of this 2-Day workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Describe betrayal trauma using the lenses of IFS, attachment, and trauma neuroscience.
2. Distinguish three treatment phases: Secret, Discovery, and Rebuilding, and apply phase-appropriate interventions.
3. Use IFS interventions to unblend clients from protective parts and restore access to Self.
4. Implement somatic techniques to stabilize nervous system dysregulation during sessions.
5. Apply IFS and EFT-informed tools to pace and repair disclosures within couple therapy contexts.
6. Engage with each partner’s developmental wounds without enabling or pathologizing.
7. Recognize and work with therapist parts that can interfere with clinical presence and progress.
8. Utilize neurobiological models to support clients toward internal coherence and relational safety.
9. Guide clients through choice, accountability, and boundary-setting processes while honoring sovereignty and vulnerability.
A little about Wayne.....
Wayne Baker, LPC, brings over 20 years of clinical and training experience focused on betrayal trauma, infidelity recovery, and relational healing. He is a certified IFS therapist with extensive training in couples therapy models, somatic approaches, and attachment theory.
Wayne is a sought-after presenter for both academic and professional settings. He integrates rigorous trauma-informed care with embodied and systemic perspectives.

This online workshop is llimited to 40 participants and all participants must be deeply IFS informed as we will not be covering the basic principles of IFS during the workshop. An application form will be available to you once you register your interest and your place on the workshop will only be confirmed once a $500 non-refundable deposit is received. We require a minimum of 24 applicants for this workshop to proceed. If we do not get the required numbers for the workshop to proceed, we will refund all fees paid to Souliology for the workshop cost only. Thank you.
